The aim of the event was to diminish stereotypes on women’s physical appearance through a male-only-contestant beauty pageant with female judges and host.

The event highlighted that appearances do not matter and encouraged the attendees to think about gender stereotypes in our society.

The event was a success with over AU$500 raised by residents.

Bruce Hall has pledged to continue running fundraising events in support of Femili PNG in the coming years.
